Fauhn is a Scotland-based music project with roots in an upbringing in Liverpool, created as a space for uncompromised, emotionally honest songwriting. It exists as a personal outlet, shaped around reflection, self-understanding, and the quieter weight of everyday experience.
Musically, Fauhn draws influence from the sounds of the 1980s and the alternative, grunge, and punk movements of the 1990s, while deliberately resisting strict genre boundaries. Rather than aiming to emulate specific styles, the project follows feeling and intent wherever they lead.
Fauhn is written, performed, and produced as a multi-instrumental project. The process prioritises honesty over polish, and emotional clarity over perfection. It is not currently designed as a traditional live band, though future forms of performance are not ruled out.
While the music is written primarily for personal connection, there is a hope that its openness resonates with others, whether through calm, recognition, or shared understanding.
The track Wildflowers was included on Unicorn Tracks Vol. 3, a compilation album raising funds for diabetes and cancer charities. Further releases under the Fauhn name are planned for summer 2026, with longer-form work taking shape at its own pace.
